About
About Best 7 Seater Cars
Best 7 Seater Cars is an independent guide to every car with seven or more seats on sale in the UK. We built it so families can check how many people, child seats and bags a car really takes before they visit a dealer.
Every model is described with the same set of figures, from boot space with all seven seats up to Isofix points and third-row room, each checked against named sources so that any two cars can be compared fairly.
Who we are
The site is run by a small, independent team focused on the UK car market. We are not owned by a car maker, dealer group, leasing broker or finance company, and we do not sell cars.
What the site does
We track every new car on sale in the UK with seven or more seats, plus popular used models, and put the figures families ask about in one place: boot space with all seven seats up, who fits in the third row, Isofix points, length, width and height, fuel types and the starting price of a seven-seat version.
You can filter them in the 7-seater finder, line up their sizes in the car size comparison and compare up to three side by side. Every figure has a named source, such as the manufacturer's UK website or an independent review, and each model page shows when it was last checked. Recalls, fuel economy and MOT results come from free UK government data and update automatically. Our page on how we research explains the details.
How the site is funded
The site is free to use. Advertising may appear on some pages to cover our costs, and adverts are kept separate from our lists, rankings and verdicts.
No manufacturer, dealer or broker pays to be included on the site, to move up a list or to be chosen as one of our picks.
Editorial independence
Lists such as the cheapest 7-seaters or the biggest boots are sorted by the published figures. Where we choose favourites, as on our best 7-seater cars page, the choice is ours, based on those figures and on what independent reviewers report. Advertisers have no say in what we write.
We do not run our own road tests. We compare manufacturers' data with independent reviews, name our sources, and say plainly when figures conflict or a version has a catch, such as a plug-in hybrid sold only with five seats.
