Compare 7-seaters

Compare 7-seaters side by side

Compare 7-seater cars side by side on the figures that matter to a family: price, boot space with all seven seats up, third-row room, Isofix points, length and fuel. Pick up to three models and the table highlights the best figure in each row.

To add a car, use the Add to compare button on any model page, in a list or in the 7-seater finder. Your picks are kept in this browser while you look around, or you can start with one of the popular comparisons on this page.

How to compare 7-seaters

Two 7-seaters can look alike from the outside and still differ a lot inside. Work through the figures in this order:

  1. Third row. Decide who will sit there and how often. Our labels run from adults to children, and each model page sums up what reviewers found. The 7-seaters with the most third-row space are a good place to start.
  2. Boot with all seats up. If you will use all seven seats regularly, compare this figure rather than the maximum, and check the measuring basis on each model page.
  3. Isofix points. Count the seats with Isofix and check whether any are in the third row. If you need three child seats, see our guide to 7-seaters with three Isofix points.
  4. Size. Check the length and width against your driveway or garage, or line the cars up in the car size comparison.
  5. Engine and seats. Make sure the engine you want is sold with seven seats. Some plug-in hybrid versions lose the third row, and in some cars the extra seats are an option.
  6. Price and safety. The price shown is usually for the cheapest seven-seat version, and the price note on each model page says exactly what it covers, so compare like with like. Euro NCAP tests get tougher over time, so look at the year of the rating as well as the stars.

Comparing 7-seaters

How many cars can I compare at once?

Up to three. Use the Add to compare button on any model page, in a list or in the 7-seater finder, and the cars collect in a tray at the bottom of the screen. Select Compare to see them side by side.

The page address lists the cars you picked, so you can bookmark the comparison or share it.

What should I compare first on a 7-seater?

Start with the third row and the boot with all seven seats up, because those two figures separate a car you can use as a full-time 7-seater from one with occasional extra seats.

Then check the Isofix points if you need several child seats, the length if parking is tight, and whether the engine you want comes with seven seats.

Why are some figures missing from the comparison?

We only show figures we have found in a manufacturer's documents or a named independent review. If a value has not been published or could not be confirmed, we leave it blank rather than estimate it.

If you have a source for a missing figure, please send it to us through our contact page.
