BYD's seven-seat plug-in hybrid SUV for the UK, with 408PS and deliveries due from January 2027.
Quick answer
Yes. The Ti 7 comes to the UK in a single seven-seat Excellence AWD plug-in hybrid version; orders are open, first cars reach showrooms in November 2026 and customer deliveries start in January 2027.
Best for Plug-in hybrid buyers who need occasional seven seats
The Ti7 is the BYD 7-seater UK buyers can order now, and BYD calls it its first seven-seat SUV in Europe. A 1.5 turbo petrol engine and electric motors give 408PS and up to 74 miles of electric range. The only early verdict on the third row, from CAR Magazine's short drive of a Chinese-market car, suggests it is for children, and with all seven seats up the boot holds 126 litres.

With all seven seats in use the boot holds 126 litres, the 4th smallest of the 29 SUVs with a published boot figure and 114 litres less than the median. With five seats in use the boot holds 970 litres, rising to a maximum of 1,830 litres.
With all seven seats up, 126 litres is tight: think school bags rather than suitcases. The Ti7 makes more sense as a five-seater with two spare seats, because folding the third row opens up 970 litres, a very big five-seat boot.
These are BYD's figures without a stated measuring method, and leasing data differs slightly, so take your buggy or cases to a showroom from November 2026 and check the space for yourself. Our 7-seater boot space guide shows the wider picture.
How it is measured BYD UK figures, measurement basis not stated: 126 litres with all seats up, 970 litres with the third row folded and 1,830 litres with rows two and three folded. Rivervale leasing data lists 127 and 1,813 litres.
At 5,146mm (5.15m, 16ft 11in) long, the Ti7 is 272mm longer than the median SUV, and the 6th longest of the 37 SUVs we track. It is 1,995mm wide without mirrors (2,192mm with them) and 1,865mm tall. The wheelbase, the distance between the front and rear axles, is 2,920mm.
Third row suitsChildren
CAR Magazine reckoned the back row would be for children only after a short drive of a Chinese-market car, so no UK car had been assessed yet. BYD says the seven-seat layout was developed for UK and European buyers, and the third row folds away to give 970 litres of boot space. The second-row seats have four-way adjustment.
Treat any verdict on the third row as provisional until UK cars are reviewed, because the only assessment so far comes from a short drive of a Chinese-market car. Leasing data confirms Isofix anchorages but not where they are, so ask BYD whether the third row has them before ordering if you need child seats back there.
For seven-seaters with proven back-row space, see our guide to 7-seaters with the most third-row space.
The plug-in hybrid can cover up to 74 miles on electric power alone.

BYD UK's on-the-road price for the only UK version, the Excellence AWD, from its pricing press release. Starlight Silver paint is free and other colours cost £1,100 or £2,000. Some reports round the price to £48,000.

Our verdict The Ti7 promises a lot for a plug-in hybrid 7-seater: 408PS, up to 74 miles of electric range and a 970-litre boot with the third row folded. Until UK reviews arrive, treat the third row as one for children and the towing figure as unconfirmed by BYD.
The Ti7 is a big car: 5,146mm long in UK form, longer than the Chinese version because of its rear-mounted spare wheel, and 2,192mm wide with mirrors. Its 74-mile electric range, or 102 miles in town, could cover most school runs and commutes on battery power if you can charge at home.
The 2,500kg towing limit comes from leasing data rather than BYD, and there is no Euro NCAP result yet, so check both before committing. Compare it with other plug-in hybrid 7-seaters.

Not comfortably. The third row is best kept for children.
Orders are open now. BYD says the first cars reach UK showrooms in November 2026 and customer deliveries start in January 2027. There is one version, the Excellence AWD, so the main choice left is the paint colour.
BYD quotes up to 74 miles on the WLTP cycle, or 102 miles in town, from a 35.6kWh battery. Up to 79 miles was quoted when the car was first confirmed for the UK, so treat older reports with care.
Leasing data lists a 2,500kg braked towing limit, but BYD UK had not published its own figure when we checked. Confirm the limit with BYD before you rely on it for a caravan or horse trailer.
