The seven-seat Rifter is the electric E-Rifter Long in Allure trim, with lift-out third-row seats
Quick answer
Yes, in some versions. Seven seats come only with the Long body in Allure trim; the Long GT and every Standard-length E-Rifter have five seats.
Best for Electric people carrying with lift-out rear seats
The Peugeot Rifter 7-seater is electric only, with a 52kWh battery and up to 199 miles of range.
The third row is two individual seats that lift out, and Completecar.ie rated all seven seats as genuinely usable for adults up to average height. The catches are towing, which Auto Express says the Long cannot do, and a Euro NCAP rating that has expired.

With all seven seats in use the boot holds 209 litres, the joint smallest of the 11 van-based MPVs with a published boot figure and 226 litres less than the median. With five seats in use the boot holds 1,050 litres, rising to a maximum of 3,500 litres.
CarGurus quotes 209 litres with all seven seats up, 1,050 litres with the third row removed and 3,500 litres with the middle row folded too. Carwow instead gives 1,900 litres with the rearmost seats removed, and Peugeot UK quotes up to 4,000 litres for the five-seat Long, so the sources disagree.
Because the third-row seats lift out completely, you can carry seven people one day and a bulky load the next. Compare rivals in our 7-seater boot space guide.
How it is measured CarGurus figures for the Long with all seven seats up, with the third row removed, and with the middle row folded; carwow instead quotes 1,900 litres with the rearmost seats removed. Peugeot UK quotes up to 4,000 litres for the five-seat Long.
At 4,755mm (4.75m, 15ft 7in) long, the E-Rifter Long is 152mm shorter than the median van-based MPV, and the 5th shortest of the 16 van-based MPVs with a published length. It is 1,837mm tall. The wheelbase, the distance between the front and rear axles, is 2,975mm.
Third row suitsAverage-sized adults
Completecar.ie tested the Long and rated all seven seats as genuinely usable, with adults of up to average height reasonably comfortable in each. The third row is two individual seats that can be lifted out completely for extra load space. Euro NCAP says child seats should not be fitted in the third row.

One limit matters for families: Euro NCAP says child seats should not be fitted in the third row. Isofix is on the outer middle-row seats, and drive.co.uk reports three across row 2, so plan on child seats in the middle and older passengers in the back.
Isofix points: outer seats in row 2 (drive.co.uk reports three across row 2, and Euro NCAP says the centre point is optional in some markets). None are in the third row.
The electric E-Rifter Long has an official WLTP range of up to 199 miles from a 52kWh battery.

Our verdict The E-Rifter Long is an electric van-based MPV whose seven seats come only in Allure trim, and Completecar.ie rates all of them usable for average-sized adults. It cannot take a tow bar, its Euro NCAP rating has expired and child seats should not go in the third row.
The E-Rifter Long is 4,755mm long and 1,837mm tall with roof rails (Auto Express); carwow gives the height as 1,882mm, and both quote 1,921mm wide. Peugeot quotes a 0 to 80 per cent rapid charge in 30 minutes on a charger rated at 100kW or more.
Check the door specification before you order: Peugeot UK's equipment list shows twin sliding side doors as optional on Allure, although reviewers describe sliding doors on both sides. See other electric 7-seaters for comparison.

Plan on no towing. Auto Express says the optional 750kg tow bar cannot be fitted to Long versions, and we found no towing figure for the seven-seater.
No. Euro NCAP awarded the Rifter four stars in 2018, and that rating also covered the e-Rifter, but Euro NCAP has listed it as expired since 1 January 2025.
