An electric people carrier with three seats in the back row and sliding doors on both sides
Quick answer
Yes, in some versions. In the UK the seven-seat PV5 Passenger comes only with the Long Range 71.2kWh battery, in Essential, Plus and Elite trims; orders opened on 8 June 2026 and first customer deliveries are due from October 2026. In seven-seat form the seats are arranged 2-2-3: two in front, two in the middle row and three in the third row.
Best for Easy-access electric people carrying
The Kia PV5 7-seater is an electric, van-based people carrier with sliding doors on both sides and 318 litres of boot space behind the third row. Kia's 246-mile range is a target pending homologation, and we found no independent test of third-row space.

With all seven seats in use the boot holds 318 litres, the 5th smallest of the 11 van-based MPVs with a published boot figure and 117 litres less than the median. With the third row out of use the boot holds 785 litres.
Kia quotes 318 litres with all seven seats up and 785 litres with the third row folded. It gives no maximum figure for the seven-seater and does not say how the volumes were measured.
Folding the three-seat back row more than doubles the space, so the PV5 can work as a five-seater with a big boot when the third row is not needed. See how that compares in our 7-seater boot space comparison.
How it is measured Kia figures; 785 litres is with the third row folded. No measurement method is stated and Kia gives no maximum figure for the seven-seater.
At 4,695mm (4.70m, 15ft 5in) long, the PV5 Passenger is 212mm shorter than the median van-based MPV, and the shortest of the 16 van-based MPVs with a published length. It is 1,895mm wide without mirrors and 1,899mm tall. The wheelbase, the distance between the front and rear axles, is 2,995mm.
The seven-seater has two seats in the middle row and three in the back row. Access is through sliding doors on both sides, manual on Essential and Plus and powered on Elite, with a 399mm step-in height. No independent test of third-row space was found during this research.
Unusually, the PV5 Passenger puts three seats in the back row and two in the middle. Access is through sliding doors on both sides, manual on Essential and Plus and powered on Elite, with a 399mm step-in height (Kia UK). Our list of 7-seaters with sliding doors shows other cars with this kind of access.
We found no independent test of how much room the third row offers, and the sources we checked give no Isofix positions, so sit in the back and check child-seat fitting before you order.
The electric PV5 Passenger has an official WLTP range of up to 246 miles from a 71.2kWh battery.

Our verdict The PV5 Passenger is an electric van-based people carrier with sliding doors on both sides and three seats in the back row. Kia's seven-seat figures were still targets pending homologation, and no independent test of the third row was available when we checked.
The PV5 Passenger is 4,695mm long, 1,895mm wide without mirrors and 1,899mm tall, so check height barriers before relying on multi-storey car parks. DC charging runs at up to 150kW, taking the battery from 10 to 80% in under 30 minutes (Lloyd Motor Group).
Towing is limited: Essential and Plus seven-seaters are rated for 750kg braked, and the Elite cannot tow at all (Kia UK). For other battery-powered options, compare our electric 7-seaters.

Kia opened UK orders for the seven-seat PV5 Passenger on 8 June 2026, and first customer deliveries were due from October 2026. Kia UK's own PV5 Passenger page still showed only the five-seater when we checked, so ask a dealer for the latest timing.
That had not been confirmed when orders opened, unlike the five-seat model (Electrive, Fleet News). Check the current list of eligible cars before you order.
Both. Kia is pitching the seven-seater at taxi, airport transfer and shuttle operators as well as private buyers (Fleet News). For families, sliding doors on both sides make getting children in and out easier in tight spaces.
