Seven seats as standard, mild hybrid or plug-in hybrid power, and an electric twin in the E-5008.
Quick answer
Yes. All UK 5008s come with seven seats as standard.
Best for Families who want seven seats with a plug-in hybrid option
The Peugeot 5008 7-seater keeps all seven seats whether you choose the Hybrid 145 or the Plug-in Hybrid 225, unlike some plug-in rivals, and the electric Peugeot E-5008 shares the same body and seating.
Peugeot quotes 348 litres of boot space with all seven seats up, though independent figures are lower, as explained below. The third row suits children and teenagers best, especially with the middle bench slid forward, and adults of average height can manage short trips.

With all seven seats in use the boot holds 348 litres, the joint 2nd largest of the 29 SUVs with a published boot figure and 108 litres more than the median. With five seats in use the boot holds 916 litres, rising to a maximum of 2,232 litres.
Peugeot does not say how it measures its boot, and independent figures are much lower. Auto Express quotes 259 litres with all seven seats up, 748 with five and 1,815 with two, against Peugeot's 348, 916 and 2,232 litres, so treat Peugeot's numbers as a best case when you compare the 5008 with rivals.
The same gap appears on the electric E-5008, which Auto Express and Electrifying.com also put at 259 litres with seven seats up. Both cars share Peugeot's official figures, so the boot is no reason to choose one over the other.
How it is measured Peugeot UK figures with seven, five and two seats in use; measuring method not stated.
At 4,791mm (4.79m, 15ft 9in) long, the 5008 is 83mm shorter than the median SUV, and the joint 11th shortest of the 37 SUVs we track. It is 1,895mm wide without mirrors (2,108mm with them) and 1,694mm tall. The wheelbase, the distance between the front and rear axles, is 2,901mm.
Third row suitsAdults on short trips
Carwow reckons adults of average height can squeeze in for shorter trips, and two teenagers have plenty of room once the middle row is slid forward. The middle bench moves forward by up to 15cm, but Auto Express warns that some knees will still press against it. Peugeot fits a two-seat bench with separate backrests in the back row.
Think of the 5008's back row as seating for children and teenagers, with adults rotating in for short trips. Sliding the middle bench forward is what makes it work, so agree a compromise on legroom between the two rear rows before a long drive.
For child seats, both Isofix points are on the outer middle-row seats and there are none in the third row. Families who need three Isofix child seats should look at 7-seaters with three Isofix points, such as the Skoda Kodiaq.
2Isofix points
The 5008 has two Isofix points: outer seats in row 2. None are in the third row.

VSM software missing AEB telltale in case of blind camera.
On certain Peugeot vehicles the Automatic Emergency Braking Assist telltale fails to illuminate if the front camera is blocked. No AEB warning telltale meaning no warning light appears in the instrument cluster. An additional pop-up appears for around 10 seconds at each key on/key off (Driving Assistance Sensor Blind: clean sensor see User Manual). The Automatic Emergency Braking system is operating in a degraded mode but remains functional due to radar support.

Our verdict Seven seats come as standard on every 5008, including the plug-in hybrid, and the third row suits teenagers and adults on short trips. Peugeot's boot figures look generous next to independent ones, and the Hybrid 145 can tow only 750kg.
Every 5008 has seven seats and an automatic gearbox, so the real choice is the engine. The Hybrid 145 uses a 48-volt system that Auto Express classes as a mild hybrid, and carwow says it can tow only 750kg braked. The Plug-in Hybrid 225 raises that to 1,300kg, so it is the version to pick if you tow a caravan.
Euro NCAP's four-star rating from 2025 applies to every 5008, so the safety score is the same whichever engine you choose.

348 litres with all seven seats in use, 916 litres with five seats in use and a maximum of 2,232 litres.
The Peugeot 5008 is 4,791mm long (4.79m, 15ft 9in), 1,895mm wide without its mirrors and 1,694mm tall.
Two: outer seats in row 2. There are no Isofix points in the third row.
On shorter trips, yes. Over longer distances the third row suits children and teenagers better.
They share a body, seven seats as standard and Peugeot's boot figures of 348, 916 and 2,232 litres. The difference is the power source: the 5008 is a mild hybrid or plug-in hybrid, while the E-5008 is fully electric, with up to 414 miles of official range from the 97kWh Long Range battery.
The 5008 plug-in hybrid tows more, 1,300kg braked against 1,000kg for the E-5008, and reviewers rate both third rows the same way. Browse all electric 7-seaters if you want to go fully electric.
Slightly. The 5008 is 4,791mm long against the Kodiaq's 4,758mm, and Peugeot quotes 348 litres of boot with all seven seats up to Skoda's 340, though neither maker says how it measures.
The Kodiaq has three Isofix points to the 5008's two and can tow up to 2,500kg in some 4x4 versions. The 5008 keeps seven seats in its plug-in hybrid, whereas the Kodiaq plug-in hybrid is a five-seater, and reviewers rate the Peugeot's third row more generously.
The official figure is unclear. Peugeot UK's 5008 page still describes a 195hp plug-in hybrid with up to 55 miles of WLTP electric range, but Peugeot's online store sells the Plug-in Hybrid 225, for which Auto Express quotes 48 miles.
Use 48 miles as a working figure, and ask the dealer for the WLTP range of the exact car you are buying.
