VW 7-seater cars

A VW 7-seater can be an SUV or a people carrier. Volkswagen's Tayron SUV has seven seats on every petrol, mild hybrid and diesel version, while the Caddy Maxi Life, Multivan and electric ID. Buzz LWB are van-based MPVs with sliding side doors.

The people carriers are the better bet for adults at the back: carwow fitted five six-foot adults across the Multivan's two rear rows, and Auto Express rates the ID. Buzz's third row nearly as good as its middle row. Volkswagen pitches the Tayron's third row at children and teenagers. The Touran, Sharan and Tiguan Allspace are no longer sold new but are available used.
